Dan Fogelberg was one of the great singer/songwriters of the 70s and into the early 21st century. Many considered him to be the greatest musician of the generation. He produced 18 albums (on a few he played every instrument) and many of his songs landed on the charts. But he liked to say that when others sought the fast lane, he headed for the offramp. An aversion to superstardom doesn’t lend itself to a legacy, and living on a ranch in western Colorado, or on an island off the coast of northern Maine doesn’t help. Then cancer claimed him prematurely in 2007. Dan’s music is worthy of greater recognition, and Souvenirs is trying to do our part to breathe a little life back into his songs. The band is comprised of several of Nevada County’s most acclaimed musicians. Join us as we celebrate the music and songs of Dan Fogelberg!
