🏘️We're presenting TWO regional housing policy workshops in Southwest Virginia - June 9 at Mountain Empire Community College in Big Stone Gap AND June 10 and Southwest Virginia Community College in Cedar Bluff! This specialized workshop is designed specifically for municipal officials, planning departments, zoning officials, utility directors, and economic development staff to understand how local policies and practices impact housing development.
The workshops will provide a practical, solutions-oriented approach to identifying and removing barriers to housing development in rural communities. Presented by Eric Kronberg, Principal, and Elizabeth Ward Williams, Director of Urban Design at Kronberg Urbanists + Architects. You’ll learn how local policies shape development, what changes can unlock more housing, and how small developers can play a role in building stronger neighborhoods.
Choose the workshop that's most convenient for you - the same material will be presented both days.
