The SOUTHWEST MISSISSIPPI ARTIST GROUP PORTRAIT invites ANY self-identifying artist (visual, music, craft, etc) living and/or working in Southwest Mississippi to present themselves in a large group portrait. The project was conceptualized by artist Jason Lazarus to take place in perpetuity and organized by Pike School of Art — Mississippi. This is the fourth year of the portrait.
The goal of the portrait event is to foster exchange and connection amongst the wide range of artist communities that comprise Southwest Mississippi and to create a historical moment for present and future generations. Bring your art for an Artist Market / Show and Sell. Stay for the music and the artist group portrait.
