About this Event
It is lovely to be welcoming you to the second year of our Southwest Coaches Get Togethers.
The Southwest Coaches Get Together days are open to any coach in the Southwest of England (or beyond) who welcomes coming together in person to meet other coaches in a relaxed, creative and fun day.
In these days we catch up with each other, meet new colleagues as well as make time to reflect on our practice and try something new - taking away ideas to move our practices forward.
Boundaries
In this our first get together of 2026 it feels like a good time to explore what we understand by the word boundaries.
We often talk about boundaries in coaching, and these can be professional, personal, ethical or developmental.
Whilst some boundaries are really clear with, for example, the boundary between coaching and therapy an area we are always aware of, others can be a bit more elusive.
Having a greater awareness and understanding of our professional and personal boundaries supports our practice through building confidence in who we are as coaches and how we practice.
Exploring our boundaries through rich visualisation and poetry
As part of our morning, we will begin to explore our own coaching boundaries through rich visualisation and image creation facilitated by Anna Sheather, taking time to connect to ourselves and allow for deeper reflection and discovery around what the word boundary means for us in our practice.
Then in the afternoon Ross Nichols will introduce poetry and a selection of poems to help us explore the concept of boundaries further. This is also a great opportunity to experience poetry as a creative coaching tool.
I am really looking forward to this day, experiencing new things, having time to reflect on my practice, catching up with colleagues and meeting new ones too.
