There must have been something in the water in Jacksonville Florida back in the early 70’s. There was an explosion of new music!It took the best of Rock, Country, Blues and even Jazz mixing it together into what would become known as Southern Rock. The Sam Morrison Band takes you on a musical tour through the South, visiting the bands that made it famous, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Allman Brothers, The Marshall Tucker Band and more! The cries of "FREE BIRD" have been ringing thru the halls of every stadium, theater, arena and backyard party since Lynyrd Skynyrd first released it back in 1973.
At the end of the night, when Sam quotes the late Ronnie Van Zant by asking..."What song is it you want to hear?” Those cries will ring again.....
