Doors 7:30pm, first act on 8pm.Join us for a night of hilarity and laugh out loud with our hand picked comedians. This October we welcome:
Adam Vincent
Dark but chipper Australian gem, Adam Vincent spent 10 years as a writer for Channel 4’s The Last Leg, had full houses throughout Edfringe (2017, 2018), is ‘hilariously irreverent’ (Broadway Baby), ‘recklessly honest and entirely relatable’ (Chortle) and is soon to release his debut novel How Not To K*ll Yourself When Living In The Suburbs.
Alice Frick
Alice started stand-up in Austria in 2016 after winning an award (“Grazer Kleinkunstvogel”). She has been featured on a few TV shows in Germany (WDR, Comedy Central), and moved to Los Angeles where she started doing comedy in English. In 2010 Frick moved to London where she has set up her own comedy night, with an all-female line-up, called: “Laughing Labia” to redress the gender balance on stage and support female comedians.
Bilal Rashid
Bilal is a 29-year-old, upcoming comic based in London, whose style involves one-liners, crowd interaction, and generally being wild, yet somewhat charming. He has gigged around the UK and has frequented comedy clubs such as the famous Hot Water Comedy Club in Liverpool and Roast Battles in London.
Will Scambler
Since January 2022, Will has done over 100 gigs where all the spots have ranged between 5 and 20 minutes with his act being a mix of observations and stories told in a conversational style.
MC - Joseph Emslie
I am a regular performer on the London circuit getting regular paid spots and MC work and am “definitely a name to keep tabs on.” (Bruce Dessau). “Radiating comic innocence and making great play on his schoolboy looks” (Chortle) my anecdotal and self-deprecating style of comedy secured me a place in the final of the Amused Moose Comedy’s National New Comic Final Award in 2017, the semi-final of the So You Think You’re Funny 2017 competition, The Laughing Horse New Act Of The Year Final in 2018 and I secured the runner up Union Jack Radio award at the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2021. In 2022 I made it to the Final of The Musical Comedy Awards.
The event is being held on the first floor of the Southern Maltings building. Please check with the event organisers if using stairs is problematic.
