The Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be giving an outdoor concert this evening at Recreation Park's Cady Field, behind the Town Hall, in downtown Pleasant Valley. The park is located at 1554 Main St./Route 44 (click on the map). Bring your lawn chairs and blankets: admission is Free!Call Pleasant Valley Recreation at 845-266-9222 for more information. There will likely be a food truck (TBA)! The rain date is the next day, Friday, June 19th.
The 75-piece Southern Dutchess Concert Band will be performing a selection of show tunes, popular standards, marches, light classical and wind ensemble music. Highlights will include: music celebrating the 70th Anniversary of "My Fair Lady", a selection of tunes from Disney's "Frozen", and a medley of Billy Joel's hits. The Southern Dutchess Concert Band consists of woodwind, brass and percussion musicians from southern Dutchess County and surrounding areas.
