The Compassion Buddha, Avalokiteshvara, is the embodiment of the universal compassion of all enlightened beings. His eleven faces and thousand arms indicate that he cares for infinite living beings through his countless emanations. By relying upon him we naturally increase our own compassion and kindness. In this way, our life takes great meaning in a world of so much suffering.
During the 2026 Southern Dharma Celebration, Eastern National Spiritual Director, Kadam Morten Clausen, will grant the blessing empowerment of Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara. The empowerment is essentially a blissful and imaginative guided meditation through which we make a deep connection with this enlightened being. Through beautiful visualizations we receive the profound healing blessings of Thousand-Armed Avalokiteshvara and create powerful causes for our own future enlightenment.
Subsequently Kadam Morten will give teachings on Compassion and Kindness in a Suffering World. This rich and delightful practice helps us to nurture both our potential for healing ourself and for healing others.
