Southampton Legends return to the Island to face an Island Legends squad in a charity football spectacular, once again jointly hosted by Newport I.W. and Cowes Sports Football ClubsThe game is due to take place on Friday 8th May, with a 7:30pm kick-off at the Zilch Waste Stadium, Cowes, PO31 7NT.
Fans can look forward to seeing a number of familiar and much-loved faces pulling on the shirts once again. Representing the Island Legends will be Garry Rowett, Islander Lee Bradbury, and popular local favourites Andy, Simon and Mick Butler, alongside Adam Millar, Iain Seabrook, Darren Powell, Martyn Raggett and Charlie Smeeton.
The Southampton Legends are also set to arrive with a strong squad, including former England, Liverpool and Saints cult hero Rickie Lambert, who will be making the journey from Liverpool, as well as the ever-popular Matt Oakley and Jo Tessem. Adding a special local connection, Aaron Martin, who was born on the Isle of Wight and went on to enjoy a successful professional career is also confirmed to feature.
Organisers are also delighted to confirm three top faces returning to the dugout for the Island team, with John Linington, Roger McCormack and Steve Brougham taking charge this year.
Tickets will be priced the same as the previous event, with adults priced at £10, and OAPs and under-16s at £5. Click here to buy tickets.
