About this Event
Background: The South Street Seaport Museum preserves and interprets the origins and growth of New York City as a world port, a place where goods, labor, and cultures are exchanged through work, commerce, and the interaction of diverse communities.
Project Description: We will be running restoration and preservation projects on historic ships and volunteers will mainly be outside. All volunteers will come down to the ships at 9:00 to complete paperwork and hear an introduction to the Seaport Museum before jumping into projects. All projects will end at 11:45 to circle up again, discuss the day, and hear from volunteers.
This project involves outdoor work so please come dressed appropriately.
You must be a current or retired Port Authority employee in order to participate in this event.
