Are you a Wilkinson family descendant? We would love to have you attend this event as our special guest. Please contact Vicki, [email protected].
The Wilkinsons were one of Perinton’s pioneering families, settling in South Perinton in the late 1820s. This farming family helped found the South Perinton United Methodist Church, attended School #11, and were active in the Grange and other civic organizations.
Through a bequest from Floris Lent, a Wilkinson descendant, the Perinton Historical Society has received the diaries of Gilbert Wilkinson, spanning 1876-1937, along with a treasure-trove of photos, receipts, and personal papers that give detailed insight into life in Perinton at that time. We are excited to share them with you!
Come hear about:
• Daily and seasonal life on a 19th century Perinton farm
• School #11
• The South Perinton United Methodist Church
• Where in the world Pumpkin Hook was!
And much more. Please join us.
This event is free and open to the public.
