South Dunedin is back at it again. We’re starting up the party again on King Edward Street for the 2026 South Dunedin Street Festival! This is a FREE event, connecting and celebrating Ōtepoti Dunedin’s diverse culture and community. Join us on Saturday 14th March, 2026. 10am - 3pm.
100+ vendors. 4 performance stages. 40+ acts. Thousands of stories and life-changing encounters. One gathering. One people. This year we are arranging our vendors into eight themed zones. Here are our vendor villages:
- Sports & Games
- Arts & Crafts
- Gardens & Growers
- Vintage & Preloved
- Youth & Innovation
- Health & Wellbeing
- History & Civics
- Food Court
The Street Festival creates a special place for communities to connect, for families to enjoy entertainment and activities, for pathways to be forged towards common unity. Because where does the word ‘community’ come from, if not from rocking up to a street party and having a great time with a bunch of legends?
So come along, see the best our community has to offer, enjoy local bands, dance groups, performers of all kinds. Join workshops and activities, learn something new, and embrace the vibe of a connected community.
We’ve got signup forms on the way!! Keep an eye out if you want to get involved in the following:
- Vendors, stalls, food trucks
- Performers, bands, roamers
- Volunteers, before and during the event
