Sourdough Workshop - DOUGH THERAPY
Ready to get your hands dirty and dive into the world of sourdough? Join us for an awesome in-person workshop where you'll learn the secrets to baking the perfect sourdough loaf. Whether you're a newbie or a seasoned baker, this is your chance to chill, knead, and chat all about that amazing DOUGH THERAPY. Bring your enthusiasm and leave with some serious baking skills!
This is a 4 hour workshop where we get to explore together how healing it is to sink your hands in and play with dough as it evolves from a sticky mess to a firm, strong dough ball that you will take home to bake to feed yourself and anyone lucky enough to share with you!
This class will be held at the Ways Brewery for a special collaboration where you will be treated to a local beer or tea & coffee while we get to discuss and dive in to our sourdough adventure.
You will leave class with your dough ball and a booklet on instructions for baking as well as rebuilding your sourdough starter.
Taught by Michael Bernardini, who has been making sourdough pizza and bread for the last 6 years after running his own renowned Sourdough Pizza business, Bernie's Fire & Stone on Oahu, HI as well as serving the Glenside Farmers market community as For the People Bread & Tea the last 2 years.
He and his wife, Elizabeth, love offering this class not only because "there is nothing more empowering then having the skills to make your own delicious and nutritious food", but Also because it is extremely comforting and nourishing to sink your hands into dough and watch it come together.
