Get ready to dive into the joy of baking Sourdough in our “Sourdough for Starters” Workshop! Baking your own bread is an empowering, sustainable and down right fun skill! Join in on the fun as Instructor Melissa Milodragovich walks you through starting and maintaining a sourdough starter, mixing, kneading and shaping the dough, and of course the proper baking methods. Participants are encouraged to bring a clean jar and lid to take home their own starter. You’ll leave this workshop with a half loaf of 'shaggy dough' that you’ve created yourself and all the skills to recreate it at home!
This workshop will be held in the beautiful Honeyberry Culinary Classroom at the Missoula County Department of Ecology and Extension - 1075 South Avenue West. You won’t want to miss working in this state-of-the-art learning kitchen. Thank you to the MCDEE for sharing this beautiful space!
