Come along for a bowl of soup and a show at lunchtime! This new play by John Bassett commemorates 100 years since the General Strike in Gloucester through story and song. Drawing on personal testimonies and archive accounts, the performance covers campaigns that have run in Gloucestershire to save, protect and help people and their environment, including the history of the General Strike itself.
Each £10 ticket includes a bowl of delicious home-cooked soup, and the show is designed to fit into an hour-long lunch break. Performances are suitable for ages 11 and over.
All proceeds go towards the upkeep of our 500-year-old historic building and community hub.
The Protest! Project is supported by Voices Gloucester
