Enjoy a sunset walk as our wildlife begins to settle in for the night. Burton Mere Wetlands is a magical place to be as the sun goes down and wintering pink-footed geese flock back after a day feeding on the fields and Herons and Egrets head to their roost. The walk will start from the Visitor Centre at 2pm. Tickets include a warming cup of soup and bread roll which we will pick up from the Café about 3pm in take away cups. Please let us know of any dietary requirements when booking. The event will conclude after the sun sets and we loose the light around 4pm.
This two- and half-hour walk is aimed at all levels of knowledge, for those that wish to improve their wildlife watching skills and would like to learn more about the fabulous species we have here.
Your guide Tom will also incorporate poetry and mindful moments as part of this experience and share more about the history of Burton Point, Wirral's only ancient hillfort.
Tickets includes your reserve entry fee for non-members, you're welcome to enjoy the reserve before the event starts.
You're welcome to purchase tickets for your enthusiastic teenage children, however our guided walk events are not suited to small children.
We look forward to welcoming you to our very special reserve.
