In partnership with Brut Hotel and Oklahoma Film + Music Office, The Soundup Club proudly presents "The Soundup Roundup" - an intimate and inspiring night of music and storytelling featuring Kent Blazy, Mark Irwin, and Voth. Join us for a one-of-a-kind songwriter’s round, where the artists share the stories behind their songs and then perform them live. This up-close format gives you a rare peek into the creative process, straight from the voices who lived it. This marks a continuation of Tulsa’s very first songwriter’s series; an intimate showcase of storytelling and song-sharing in true Nashville tradition, now brought home to The Church Studio.
About the Artists:
Kent Blazy: Kent Blazy is a Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and one of country music’s most respected hitmakers. Best known for his long-running creative partnership with Garth Brooks, Blazy co-wrote Brooks’ first No. 1 hit, “If Tomorrow Never Comes,” along with classics like “Ain’t Goin’ Down (’Til the Sun Comes Up),” “Somewhere Other Than the Night,” “It’s Midnight Cinderella,” and “Beer Run.”
His catalog includes seven No. 1 hits, with songs recorded by Garth Brooks, Chris Young, Reba McEntire, Diamond Rio, Patty Loveless, Gary Morris, and many more. A recording artist and storyteller in his own right, Kent continues to tour nationally and internationally, sharing the stories behind songs that helped shape modern country music.
Mark Irwin: Mark Irwin is a hit Nashville songwriter whose songs have become part of the country music soundtrack. He co-wrote Alan Jackson’s first No. 1 hit, “Here in the Real World,” a CMA and ACM Song of the Year nominee and winner of the Music City News Song of the Year Award.
His No. 1 songs also include Tyler Farr’s “Redneck Crazy,” Tim McGraw’s “Highway Don’t Care” featuring Taylor Swift and Keith Urban, and Blake Shelton’s “Neon Light.” Mark’s songs have been recorded by Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Martina McBride, Jimmy Buffett, Hank Williams Jr., Lainey Wilson, George Jones, Chris Janson, and many others. He is also featured in the acclaimed Bluebird Café documentary Bluebird.
Voth: Voth is a Tulsa-born sibling trio made up of Caleb, Hannah, and Cody Voth, blending tight family harmonies, country roots, and heartfelt songwriting into an undeniable sound. Formerly based in Nashville and signed to Warner Chappell Music, Voth has shared stages with Diamond Rio, Riley Green, Walker Hayes, and Carly Pearce, with appearances on Opry’s WSM Radio and Circle TV.
Now back home in Tulsa, Voth continues building songs and stories rooted in family, faith, and real life. Their latest album, Memories of You, is available everywhere.
