About this Event
Sounds of the Diaspora: Homecoming
Sounds of the Diaspora returns to London, and so does our founder, Tumi Mary, after completing her Master’s at Harvard University!
We’re taking over The Orange Room for a night of immersive programming: DJ sets, open mic, zine-making, interactive installations and space to reflect and reconnect across cultures.
The evening will centre the idea of home in all its forms: the places we come from, the ones we choose, and the ones we imagine together.
🎧 What to Expect
Diaspora Decks: DJ sets blending genres
Zine & Collage Corner: Craft portraits of “home” with art prompts and materials
Phone Home Station: Leave a message after the tone...
Belonging Map: Pin the places you call home!
Freedom Wall: Write to your heart's content
Open Mic & Live Performance: Spoken word, music, and movement!
