We welcome the Brooklyn-based singer-songwriter Cut Worms (aka Max Clarke) and his band on a tour supporting a new album on Jagjaguwar, produced by Jeff Tweedy. With the new album, Clarke continues his exploration of what he calls “pop essentialism”; mining the golden hits of yesteryear for a timeless sound, he contemplates age-old questions through a modern lens. Cut Worm’s self-titled LP (2023) garnered a spot on the Billboard charts and was hailed by Paste Magazine as one of the best rock albums of the year. He also joined Father John Misty on a tour last fall. New York-based pop rock trio, Tchotchke, opens the evening.Co-presented with 91.3 WYEP Presents
