The quality of our voice says a lot about our emotional state, telling listeners if we are tired, elated, anxious, joyful, easeful, or anywhere in between. When we are anxious, this comes through in our voice. When we are regulated, at ease in our body, and calm, our voice reveals this.
What might your voice say about you? Is it deep, whispery, muffled, quick, or slow? Do you project easily, or is your voice soft and gentle? What adjectives come to mind?
Sound Passage is a nurturing voice practice designed to help you strengthen the bond between your breath, body, and voice. This workshop offers a unique opportunity to unlock the physical, emotional, and mental benefits of using your voice in gentle and empowering ways. Your voice—one of your most powerful yet often overlooked tools—is a remarkable pathway for self-expression and this workshop helps you explore the full range of your creativity.
Research shows that humming and making certain vocal sounds can reduce anxiety and lower stress hormones. By tapping into the power of sound, you can cultivate greater presence, resilience, and joy. In this workshop, we’ll explore gentle sounds and movement to activate your inner soundscape, helping you release tension and tap into your expressiveness in a safe, supportive space.
No prior vocal experience is needed, and all exercises are designed to support you as you uncover a deeper connection to your voice and your emotional center. Whether you’re looking to relieve stress, find more balance, or simply discover the magic of your own vocal range, this workshop will help you access tools so your voice is a true expression of who you are.
