Sound Cream Sunset Sessions will move into their new home at Hemisfair and turn Thursday evenings at Civic Park into a summer dance destination for everyone. No shoes required. Splash in The Springs, stroll the local vendor market, and picnic in the park with DJs from across Texas and music from around the world!
June will celebrate Black Music Month and amplify African American voices in music, beginning with a funky Soul set from Austin Boogie Crew and ending with a powerful Gospel House set by Boyblk of Dallas, Texas. July will turn the dance dial up another notch with Sounds of South Texas, showcasing DJs from San Antonio down to the Rio Grande Valley, including a 4th of July “Selenabration” with Principe Q and El Dusty of Corpus Christi.

About Flacucho:
Flacucho is a dj and cultural programmer based in Mcallen, Texas. He is creator/founder of Tropicasa, a Radio C-Store focused on incorporating social change via community events, art, vintage clothing, vegan food and music. Since 2020 his efforts have helped build a strong cultural presence and positive impact on the Mcallen arts community and arts district. He has helped steward 175+ events ranging from gallery exhibits to community markets to drag shows, runways and live dj/music events. In 2023 he launched an online radio broadcast called Radio Tropicasa to platform local/worldwide rising talent. With this project he has successfully documented over 50+ djs on YouTube, SoundCloud & Twitch. When he’s not djing or live streaming you can find him curating his shop with some of the rarest hand-picked vintage clothing and vegan snacks. Flacucho believes artists are at the forefront of economic change and are pilots for radical ideas. He has had the honor of sharing the stage with artists such as Girl Ultra, Paurro, Dos Flakos, El Dusty, and El Nick Dgo.
Inspired by New York City’s dynamic and inclusive day party culture, Sound Cream is on a mission to take nightlife to nature. Created by two music enthusiasts and parents, Sunset Sessions merges the music and culture of nightlife with the inclusive and recharging atmosphere of the great outdoors.
Since 2017, Sound Cream Sunset Sessions have been a staple in the city’s cultural calendar with their weekly dance party and DJ showcase at Pearl Park. This year, they are growing and moving to San Antonio’s new urban oasis, Civic Park at Hemisfair.
