Sound Bath & Yoga: Maria Nayler & Lucy Small
There are sound baths and then there is Maria Nayler...
The afternoon begins by gently moving our bodies. Yoga teacher Lucy Small will carefully guide you through gentle asana to a specially selected playlist. Many options given for many different bodies. We then pause to share cacao in community before a deep journey into sound. Maria will create different soundscapes through a variety of overtone-emitting instruments including Tibetan bowls, ocean drum, tam tam gong, phase drum, monochord, chimes, and, of course, her breathtaking voice. Maria Nayler is a professional recording artist/song writer whose career spans over 30 years, selling over 30 million records world wide. A certified voice coach, sound therapist and voice practitioner, Maria has extensive training in voice and frequency medicine. She has travelled the globe, researching ancient sounds, songs, prayers and mantra.
Lucy Small is frequently described as “authentic”- teaching yoga straight from the heart. Her classes are community-minded, inclusive, and friendly; giving lots of options for lots of bodies. Having practiced a wide range of yoga traditions since the early noughties, Lucy blends an eclectic mix of flow, hatha, breathwork, meditation and mantra.
Expect to leave feeling spiritually uplifted, stronger, more flexible and calmer.
