The bowls are tuned using Hans Cousto’s Cosmic Octave—a system that translates natural planetary cycles into audible sound through octave relationships.
In Hans Cousto’s work, the frequencies are derived from natural cycles using mathematical ratios. The theory is that when sound follows patterns already present in nature, the body may recognize them as coherent rather than chaotic.
The idea isn’t that we’re “hearing planets.” It’s that sound affects the nervous system and the body, and certain frequency relationships may feel more organizing or settling than others.
