PAUSE ~ REST & RECEIVE ~ THROUGH AN IMMERSION INTO SOUND ~
Join Sofia for a deeply restorative cosy evening. A wonderful way to draw a week to an end & start a new one a fresh.
Sound baths are a gentle practice, that requires no ‘doing,’ to receive it’s benefits.
Be held within a tapestry of rich resonant & harmonious tones, with the symphonic gong oozing primordial & cosmic sounds, creating a live soundscape that welcomes you to drop into a sense of timelessness.
A wonderful practice that allows us to pause & slow down ~ Attuning to the energies of autumn & winter.
Spoken word will guide the mind into a soft receptive state, shared at the start & end of the session, whilst sound from an array of instruments will take up the majority of the time.
As our body & mind is bathed in oscillating waves of sound, this promotes a relaxed state of consciousness to arise, allowing our brain to travels between different wave states.
Scientific evidence shows that the specific frequencies & resonances of healing instruments effect us on a molecular level & can speed up healing of many kinds. Clearing stagnant energy, allowing our nervous system to release & welcoming a more holistic state of balance into the body.
Sound baths are particularly supportive for stress related issues, anxiety, sleep difficulties, hyper tension, busy minds & more.
Everybody’s experience of a sound bath will differ & no two sound baths are ever the same!
What sounds we share ~ When & How ~ Always depend on the session, the season, the space & energy of the group.

We will weave together the power of the Gong, Tibetan, crystal & alchemy singing bowls, drums, rattles, swinging chimes, rain stick, tuning forks & some other sound making surprises.

To commence the session you will journey through the body & mind, with words & awareness as your guide. Creating a state of cosiness & comfort whilst 'nesting & resting'. Preparing the mind to settle so that you may receive the medicine of sound deeper. Yoga Nidra means yogic sleep ~ A guided meditation that welcomes awareness to move through the body through visualisation ~ Dropping you into a restorative state.
D E T A I L S ~
Everyone welcome, new or accustomed to sound baths.
Please wear comfy warm layers & if possible bring you own mat, a cushion & a blanket ~ The more cosiness the better ~ Think thick socks, bolsters, sheepskins, blankets, even sleeping bags welcome!
Let me know if you need to borrow a mat.
You will be lay down for the duration of the session, this can be on your side if comfier for you ~ Bring support! Sitting also welcome ~ Chairs will be available.
Please aim arrive at least 5 minutes before we commence to settle.
Free parking available ~ A mix of limited church car park spaces & street parking .
