About this Event
SoulCollage® is a creative expression method using image, intuition and imagination to make 5x8 collages. We use wordless, prepared images, torn and cut apart with the sound of scissors to be rearranged and put back together with the scent of glue, in new forms guided by the interior sight. We use emergent deep listening to voice and scribe these new energies with others, and we get the blessing of hearing back the profundity of our own inner guidance. We create a self-understanding.
In each Card-Making Studio, you will make one to three cards, and over time may indeed make an entire deck of your own oracle cards, excavated from your soul. No special artistic talent is necessary. All human earthlings have this capacity to cut and paste, to listen, and to voice themselves. Art materials, supplies, images and instruction included.
This new year in the Chinese calendar is the Year of the Small Wood Snake. We will delve in to the symbology of snake energy and medicine: born of an egg, shedding skin, burrowing, venom, constrictors, the shadow of fear and anxiety and the slithering, curvy quality of good questions which guide our understanding, regeneration, and growth.
Soul Collage is a spiraling serpentine inquiry and expression practice. Come play, relax, and discover insight with guidance and supportive care.
About the facilitator:
Nixa De Bellis is a wisdom teacher who has been offering mind body healing practices for three decades. She experiences her work as a certified SoulCollage Facilitator and Trauma-Informed Creative Art Therapist as the maturity of her lifelong work in education, therapeutics, meditation, wellness and aware self-care. Tapping in to the creative expression through the art of SoulCollage generates beauty and empowers the wisdom we are seeking.
