Soul Tending Open Mic

Join us for an evening of expression and connection on February 28, 2026 at 5:00 PM (Central Time) in Epworth's Sunshine Room. Bring your poetry, stories, music, songs and all other artistic expresssion to share. Your rage, annoyance, joy, anger, nerves, grief, wonder, sadness, and all other emotions are welcome here. In times like this, ART is RESISTANCE. Come share yours.

There will be a small stage with a microphone. The room is capped at 30 people so please register via Eventbrite.
Barbara Powell, local author and health coach, will emcee and share some of her recent spoken word pieces. Special guest Chris Rossing of the metal band Beastface will guide the group in screaming to let our RAGE move through us. Probably more than once.

Mutual Aid donations will be accepted: non perishables and toiletries are ideal.

Signups begin at 5:00 PM

Open Mic starts at 5:30 PM and will end around 7:00 PM.

This is a healing, expressive space for sh*t times. Hate speech of any kind will not be tolerated.
