About this Event
Finding genuine connection can be challenging — especially when traditional dating spaces don’t always feel built for neurodivergent minds. Soul Sparks is a welcoming, sensory-friendly dating and social event designed for autistic, ADHD, and otherwise neurodivergent adults who are looking to meet new people in an understanding, inclusive environment.
What to Expect:
- Inquiry and Screening process to help us make the right matches
- Fun and icebreakers to help ease social pressure and spark conversation
- Connection cards for sharing interests and comfort levels
- Refreshments and relaxed mingling opportunities
Who it’s for:
Neurodivergent adults (21-35 year old) of all genders and orientations.
Supportive parties are welcome to drop off adults if providing transporation. However we welcome supportive parties when accompanying neurodivergent attendees and caregivers will be guided to a separate space for conversation and resource sharing.
Accessibility:
The venue is wheelchair accessible, with quiet spaces and fidget tools available. Please share any specific accessibility needs throughout the screening process.
How do I know if this event is a fit for me/my loved one?
There are many things that make someone a good match when dating. Lifestyle is one of them. This event is a good fit with adults who can:
- Participate independently... with occasional coaching from a facilitator vs. 1:1 support
- Independently take care of personal hygiene needs (ex. feeding, bathing, using the restroom)
- Manage needs and emotions without safety concerns such as physical aggression, outbursts, leaving unexpectedly, etc.
- Feel comfortable meeting and getting to know new people
- Be in a room of approximately 20-25 people with multiple conversations taking place
