Description of Soul Shop™ for Youth
Soul Shop™ for Youth is an engaging, hope-centered workshop designed to help young people care for their own mental health while learning how to support friends who may be struggling. It creates a safe and honest space where youth can talk about stress, sadness, pressure, and hope without fear of judgment. The focus is on connection — reminding young people they are not alone and that reaching out is a sign of strength.
Through the program, participants learn practical ways to manage difficult emotions, recognize signs that they or a friend may be struggling, and identify trusted people they can count on when life feels overwhelming. Youth also gain confidence in how to respond when a friend seems desperate or may be thinking about suicide, including how to listen, show care, and connect them with safe adult support. The goal is to build resilience, strengthen friendships, and foster a culture of hope where young people feel supported, valued, and empowered to care for themselves and one another.
