Andre Jones born and raised in Malden, Ma in August of 1979. He grew up in the family business, which was owning and running restaurants in the Boston area. Starting at age 15 as a dishwasher, he gradually worked his way to line cook before graduating high school.
Once high school was completed, like many young adults unsure of what he wanted to do, he knew he had three choices. Continue his education, family business, or military? He did all three, in fact., He joined the United States Marine Corps for 4 1/2 years. Once over, he rejoined his family business in Atlanta, while there he went to the University of Georgia and graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Working the family business, where he left off, on the line, he came to the realization that working in culinary was his calling not just to cook but from the comradery, the organized chaos, and the brigade system just like the military.
After a couple of years Andre decided to go Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts to pursue a degree in Business Occupational Science. Upon graduation from culinary school, to expand his horizons he ventured away from the family business and began to work in many different restaurants in many and many different cities; Houston, New Orleans, Aspen, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Albuquerque, and now Palm Springs.
Chef Andre has worked in mom-and-pop restaurants to well-known restaurants, hotels, and casinos. He has learned to be humble in this industry and to grow as not only as a chef but as an individual. He loves his life and wouldn't have it any other way. He truly enjoys putting the smile on patrons faces through his passion that he has for food. In fact, he says that he cooks with the antonym FEED, which mean Far Exceeds Expectations Daily.
