ABOUT THE CONCERT: The generation of outrage and division is a feature—not a flaw—of many systems in which we operate today, from politics and news to social media and art. In the wake of an exhaustive and divisive election cycle, United States v. We the People will explore the ways in which others profit from the discord in America. Through the repertoire of some of the leading contemporary choral composers such as Craig Hella Johnson, Kyle Pederson, Stanford Scriven, Karen Marrolli, and Alice Parker, we will instead focus on finding common ground and understanding despite our many differences.
