About this Event
Established in Kilkenny by front man Conor Kavanagh, during Bad Mothers Union’s existence they have focused on forging a community of like-minded individuals, bands and artists with the view that no crowd or venue is too small.
They are driven by the unshakeable need to share their artistic vision with the world. Eschewing the standard approach to membership, the band act as a musical collective, thriving on collaboration and what each player’s voice brings to their sonic tapestry. The current line-up is Conor Kavanagh (vocals/guitar), Ethan Corcoran (bass/synth/vocals), Michael Lanigan (guitar) and James O’Neill (drums/percussion).
Drawing on influences musical and beyond, the band cite Radiohead, Black Country, New Road and Alice In Chains along with some David Lynch adding a surrealist twist to the expansiveness of their music.
Headmelt are a DIY Donegal noise rock based in Derry. Squealing irreverence.
DEOCH. is the creative collision of two of the worst musicians to ever contribute to the Derry music scene. (Their words not ours).
After years of playing in various projects – sometimes side by side, sometimes on separate paths, notably Darryl from Craic Pipe and Dúalta from No Collusion – the two lads decided to strip things back to the core, drop the full band to form a raw, hard-hitting duo.
With influences deeply rooted in Punk and Hip Hop, DEOCH. fuse the grit and rebellion of punk energy with the rhythm and attitude of rap culture.
Every beat, riff and lyric is a statement: authentic and loud, born from friendship, frustration and a love for breaking the boundaries.
