Tūmatarau whakataetae o AotearoaThe prestigious event to crown the Ultimate 2026 New Zealand Champion for Sorcery Contested Realm TCG is upon us. Join us for a days of gaming amongst all your fellow Sorcery players to determine the best Sorcery player in all of New Zealand. This event is open to all and everyone is welcome to come by and participate in games of this amazing New Zealand-made trading card game.
The event will take place in Auckland and will consist of two formats. There will be a Constructed Deck portion of the event and a Draft portion event. Entry will cost $60. There will be allocated prizes based on placings and total number of participants, and an overall New Zealand Champion prize based on final placings.
Doors open at 12pm at Sturges West Community House - 58 Summerland Drive, Henderson, Auckland 0612.
Entry cost will be $60.
For the CONSTRUCTED part of the event. Rounds will be best of one, 60 minutes per round, using the most recent rulebook version and codex. Deck size minimum will be 60 spells, 30 sites and 10 card collection. Full decklists will be required to be submitted the day before. Email for deck list submission is [email protected]. When emailing put your name as it appears in the play network in the subject line. If you are submitting your deck list via curiosa you must also supply a screenshot in the email.
For the DRAFT event. Rounds will be best of one, 60 minutes per round and use the Gothic set. Deck size for draft minimum will be 24 spells and 12 sites.
**At the moment we will not have EFTPOS capability so bring cash or be ready to do bank transfer for payments.
We will have casual FREE "Learn to Play" events running throughout the day as well as space to just play casually if the main competition is not your thing. Bring your family and friends. We will provide preconstructed decks to learn with or you can buy your very own to keep and build on. We will also help with any deckbuilding advice or play questions.
