About this Event
Sophie Bird has always been drawn to the art of storytelling, whether through music, words, or the quiet act of observation. As half of the folk duo Companion, she honed her craft alongside her twin sister, weaving intricate harmonies and soulful narratives rooted in her Oklahoma upbringing. After years of national touring with her folk heroes, including Andrew Bird, Buck Meek of Big Thief, Tori Amos, and Samantha Crain, Bird continues to evolve, turning every show into something that feels more like a living conversation than just a performance.
Berkley
With a voice that straddles delicacy and huskiness, Portland songwriter Berkley (Andy Jones) takes the mantle from the 70s Laurel Canyon scene.
Jones’s signature progressive flourishes and expansive influences keep him out of the heritage revivalism pack as he ventures into new (for him) territory of country-tinged, folk-leaning tunes on his grant-winning second LP, Vaquero.
Friendmaker
Friendmaker writes journal songs in Silverton, OR. He draws on the influences of Jason Molina, Townes Van Zandt, and other great songwriters. Friendmaker’s sound is simple and introspective, leaving room for the emotion of the moment and the story. Friendmaker has opened for Heligoats, Ings, The Red River, and played shows in and around Portland for several years. His latest album, Eternal Howdies, released Feb. 14th, 2026.
