Vabljeni na predvečer 17. edicije festivala elektronske glasbe in tranzitornih umetnosti SONICA, ki nastaja v sodelovanju s Slovensko kinoteko in založbo Kamizdat. Domači elektronski as Nitz se bo predstavil s posebnim nastopom Konstante minevanja, živo ambientalno glasbeno spremljavo ob projekciji eksperimentalnih filmov kultnega slovenskega filmarja Vaska Preglja. Zasavski ambasador eksperimentalnega techna in temačnega ambienta Lifecutter pa bo v AV formatu predstavil svoj novi album DELUGE (Kamizdat, 2025).

Filmska projekcija z živo glasbeno spremljavo
Tine Vrabič - Nitz se je v zadnjem desetletju uveljavil kot eden najvidnejših predstavnikov slovenske elektronske scene. Ustvarja avtorsko glasbo in v živo nastopa na vseh pomembnejših festivalih in dogodkih, je nekdanji dolgoletni programski vodja ljubljanskega Kluba K4 in izkušen DJ z rednimi nastopi v referenčnih evropskih klubih. Je programski direktor festivala Keep in Mind, posvečenega sodobni elektronski klubski glasbi, vodja založbe AmbientSoup in avtor oddaje Senzorama na Radiu Študent, posvečene ambientalni, eksperimentalni in elektroakustični glasbi. Vasko Pregelj (1948–1985) je bil scenarist in režiser, ki je snemal eksperimentalne filme in v slogu zgodovinskih avantgard raziskoval formalne zmožnosti medija. Med letoma 1965 in 1982 se je podpisal pod 15 filmov. Nitz bo projekcijo Pregljevih temačno grotesknih in baročno nadrealističnih eksperimentalnih filmov opremil z živo glasbeno spremljavo v sodobni ambientalni obliki.

🌀 Lifecutter: DELUGE (SI)
AV premiera novega albuma DELUGE (Kamizdat, 2025)
Slovenski producent in multiinštrumentalist Domen Učakar, strasten predstavnik ekstremne elektronske glasbe, od svojega prvenca leta 2015 raziskuje mejna zvočna področja med technom, industrialom, hrupom, dronom in metalom. Igral je v različnih skupinah, med drugim v noise dvojcu Ontervjabbit. Kot Lifecutter je s svojo estetiko (»power electronics meets blackened techno«) zavzel poseben položaj med svetovoma techno in eksperimentalne glasbe. Od leta 2021 je s Shekuzo tudi član industrial techno dua Warhorse. Njun prvenec Atlatl je revija The Quietus opisala kot »odo udarni plesni glasbi, ki bo razveselila ljubitelje producentov, kot so Perc, Scalameriya, Surgeon in Blawan«. Slovenski kritiki Lifecutterja označujejo za »enega najbolj doslednih in slogovno razvitih glasbenikov ritmičnega elektronskega hrupa« (Mladina) in »enega glavnih protagonistov najtemnejših in najbolj hrupnih odtenkov domače tehno izraznosti« (Odzven). Leta 2018 je bil član evropske platforme za inovativno glasbo in avdiovizualno umetnost SHAPE. Na novi plošči DELUGE (Kamizdat, 2025) se iz vod hrupnega in industrijskega pulza techna ponovno potaplja v razplastene okove mračnjaškega ambienta ter naslavlja temeljne kontradikcije med človekom in njegovim odnosom do narave.

The pre-event of the 17th edition of SONICA Festival, in collaboration with The Slovenian Cinematheque and the Kamizdat label, brings two immersive performances. Slovenian producer Nitz is presenting the singular performance The Constants of Vanishing, a live musical accompaniment to a screening of experimental films by cult Slovenian filmmaker Vasko Pregelj. While Slovenian industrial techno and dark ambient ambassador Lifecutter is premiering his new album DELUGE (Kamizdat, 2025).
🌀 Nitz x Vasko Pregelj: The Constants of Vanishing (SI)

Tine Vrabič - Nitz has established himself as one of the more active representatives of the Slovenian electronic scene in the last decade. He creates original music and performs as a live act, is a former long-time programme manager of the Ljubljana club K4 and is an experienced resident DJ. He is the programme director of Keep in Mind, a festival dedicated to contemporary electronic club music, and the head of Ambient Soup, a label and series dedicated to contemporary ambient music. Vasko Pregelj (1948–1985) was a screenwriter and director who made experimental films exploring the medium's formal possibilities in the style of historical avant-gardes. Between 1965 and 1982, he made 15 films. The screening of Pregelj’s darkly grotesque and baroquely surrealist experimental films will be accompanied by a live ambient performance by Nitz.

AV premiere of the new album DELUGE (Kamizdat, 2025)
Slovenian producer and multi-instrumentalist Domen Učakar aka Lifecutter, a passionate representative of extreme electronic music, has been exploring the border sonic areas between techno, industrial, noise, drone and metal since his debut album Kamizdat in 2015. He has played in various bands, including the cult noise duo Ontervjabbit. As Lifecutter, he has shaped the Slovenian scene with his “power electronics meets blackened techno” approach, occupying a rare position between the worlds of techno and experimental music. He is also a member of the industrial techno duo Warhorse with Shekuza. Their debut album Atlatl was described by The Quietus “an ode to hard-hitting dance music that will please fans of producers like Perc, Scalameriya, Surgeon and Blawan”. Slovenian critics describe him as “one of the most consistent and stylistically developed musicians of rhythmic electronic noise” (Mladina) and “one of the main protagonists of the darkest and noisiest shades of domestic techno expressiveness” (Odzven). In 2018, he was also a member of the European platform for innovative music and audiovisual art SHAPE. On his new album DELUGE (Kamizdat, 2025), he steers away from the industrial pulse of techno into dark ambient waters, addressing the fundamental contradictions between man and nature.
