About this Event
Earth Work Visions will host an intentional space of art, wellness and healing in Weston, along the Humber River at Memorial Park. This family friendly event will provide community members the opportunity to engage in an immersive meditative experience in a communal, natural, outdoor setting. Our vision is a sonic journey near the river, using wireless headphones as a portal to hear Indigenous story telling & meditation. This event will provide a nature themed sound bath using headphones in order to cancel out the noise pollution and give participants a full immersive audio experience in the ravine. This restful afternoon in community will be an opportunity to explore deep embodied listening where art and wellness meet in honour of our water kin, the Humber River. We will have art stations with booklets that share information about the Medicine Wheel Garden that provides snippets of history, language and plant imagery all local to Weston. We will be playing music by Indigenous artists at the art stations.
