About this Event
A Reggae & Dub Music Night in Harrogate
Step into the sound of Kingston for one night only.
Our Sonic Postcard series travels through the great music cities of the world — and this time we’re heading to Jamaica’s capital, where reggae, dub and sound system culture were born.
From the rhythms of ska and rocksteady to the deep pulse of roots reggae and the echo-soaked experiments of dub, Kingston reshaped modern music. Producers like Lee “Scratch” Perry and King Tubby transformed the studio into an instrument, while artists like Bob Marley carried the sound of Jamaica to the world.
The result? Music built on rhythm, bass and space — the DNA of hip-hop, electronic music and modern DJ culture.
For one night, AAA Vinyl Coffee House & Bar becomes Kingston.
Expect deep bass, classic reggae records, dub experiments, and a dancefloor built for groove.
