SONGWRITING WORKSHOP WITH KARINE POLWART

Join renowned singer and composer Karine Polwart for a glimpse into her songwriting process. In an absorbing and illuminating 90 minutes you’ll learn about her inspiration and her approach to collaborating with other musicians. Find out how mood and subject matter from sources or commissions can become springboards to new lyrics and melodies, and how you can soak up influences from artists you love without plagiarising their work. You’ll also discover that it is important to finish a song even if it is never to see the light of day!
