Whether you’ve never written a song or have a few drafts tucked away, this welcoming course is designed for the songwriting-curious. Explore how to craft your stories, ideas, and emotions into songs through lyrics, melody, and chord progressions. We’ll break down the fundamentals of song structure, rhyme, rhythm, and musical phrasing to help you find your voice as a songwriter.Prior experience with an instrument or basic chords is helpful but not required—creative curiosity is the only prerequisite. This class is open to students ages 14 and up and is designed to support a range of experience levels in a collaborative, encouraging environment.
