Hello friends....We are thrilled to be offering a workshop exploring the art of songwriting on March 2 in Marietta PA.
No experience is required and no specific instruments or musical skills are needed to attend this workshop and learn these practices..
It's going to be a fun day of play, embodied creativity, connecting with yourself and community, and learning specific songwriting techniques and skills. You will leave with at least the beginnings of a song!
We have been planning this since fall of last year and are so excited to finally be offering it at Alicia Lyter 's magical private tatoo studio in Marietta.
Between the two of us, Chris and I have written hundreds of songs. We have been friends since the late 90s and both of us are artists, dreamers, and lovers of song and music. We believe in the power of song and finding your own unique voice.
Songwriting, for both of us, has waxed and waned over the years. And, we both know that showing up with willingness and devotion to creating space for songwriting - and utilizing specific practices and techniques - always allows for songs to come through. We believe that everyone is able to write a song and everyone has a song to share. Songs, and the art of writing them, can be so healing. They can reveal deeper meaning and information about ourselves and the world. Singing songs is one of the oldest traditions of humanity.
Spaces are limited and it is $55 to attend.
