An afternoon for songwriters. On Thursday of festival week, we gather at the Story & Song Center for Arts & Culture to focus on craft, structure, lyric, melody, and the quiet decisions that make a song last.
This year’s workshop is led by Jerry Salley, a respected songwriter whose work spans country, gospel, and bluegrass music. A Dove Award winner and frequent performer at the Grand Ole Opry, Salley is known for his heartfelt writing and contributions across multiple genres of American roots music.
This is a working session. Participants are welcome to bring instruments, questions, notebooks, and curiosity. Whether you’re just beginning or have been writing for years, this workshop is for listening and learning.
Capacity is intentionally limited to 35 participants.
