Next up for the Songwriter Sundays series:Local songwriters Stu Stoore and Steve Noonan!
Stu Stoore--
In deep folk tradition, Stu Stoore draws on a lifetime of stories, sharing them in song. Leaning into his roots/country sound, he'll will be performing songs from his first album ‘Fifty Years in the Making.'
Bonus: opportunity falls perfectly as tonight's performance will also serve as a mini album release for Stu's second album, ‘On this Train to Jordan!'
Stu has been composing a lot - he'll preview more new songs that are headed for his upcoming third album ‘Sometimes When the Rain Falls.’
Steve Noonan--
Early on, Steve wrote the first hit song for the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band “Buy For Me The Rain” – in 1967! He went on to record an LP on Elektra Records. Steve and teen high school pal Jackson Browne have occasionally performed and hung together over the years.
Steve has played concerts across the globe, with his music played on the world's airwaves for over 55 years. Steve has shared billings with: Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Ramblin’ Jack Elliott, Jackson Browne and others.
Steve loves the art of song craft, as well as sharing his music. He looks forward to performing for those who love a good song and thoughtful lyrics.
The Songwriter Sundays series is an ongoing showcase of original music by new or well-known regional songwriters. Artists may play solo or on each others' tunes, and may join on songs at the end.
