We are back!Local songwriters get together once a month to discuss and perform their own songs in an open and inviting group, surrounded by a beautiful Medieval church building in the heart of Sudbury. All skill levels are welcomed and encouraged.
A theme will be set and participants can write a song based on that theme for the next session if they so please. Periodically a show is put on to allow some of the songs written during these sessions to be performed to a live audience.
The cafe will be open for drinks and snacks during the sessions. Participants are encouraged to make a donation towards Sudbury Arts Centre if possible. However, we want this to be accessible, so no one will be turned away due to lack of funds.
This is a great opportunity to network with fellow songwriters from Sudbury and the surrounding area and perhaps even learn a few tricks at the same time. We all have our own ways of writing and I have always found working with others enlightening.
Bring your instrument of choice and your voice and let's have a lovely afternoon.
Please note that the church will be open to the public during the day so you may find you have an audience at times.
