About this Event
What does it mean to be human?
Join the Valley of the Moon Chamber Ensemble for Songs Stay Sung: Music that Lingers in the Heart, a reflective and engaging choral program exploring connection, memory, kindness, and the shared experiences that shape our lives.
Drawing from poetry, folk tradition, contemporary choral works, and popular song, this program features music by Anders Edenroth, Bob Chilcott, Zoë Mulford, Paul Simon, and others. Texts by Maya Angelou, Naomi Shihab Nye, Walt Whitman, and Gerard Manley Hopkins offer powerful perspectives on community, compassion, and what it means to live well.
Through these works, individual voices come together to form something larger—echoing the ways music builds connection and carries meaning beyond the moment. From moments of joy and humor to reflection and remembrance, this program invites listeners to consider what endures long after the final note fades.
