About this Event
As the earth continues to awaken with life, we gather together for an evening of dancing, movement, and connection. Songs of the Forest - A Deer Medicine Dance is an invitation to embody your wild, untamed spirit and connect to the wisdom and medicine of the deer, through grace, gentleness, courage, forgiveness, deep listening, and rooted connection to the earth.
Our evening together is a space to listen deeply to what is flowing within you and what is flowing around you. To return to your center and root deeply into your life and into your heart. To remember your wisdom and the wisdom of the earth. And to let go of what is ready to be released and replant yourself in the forest of life where your roots can grow limitless and without bounds — held and protected and deeply nourished by all life.
Come honor the wilderness of your soul — fire, earth, sun, moon, water, and air. Come connect to the river of your being, to death and rebirth, to rooting and letting go. Come dance and flow with your true wild nature and connect with the magic and medicine of the deer.
The night will be a weaving journey of music, movement, and community. We will begin with an opening circle to connect with ourselves, each other, and the themes of the dance. We will then flow into a guided grounding practice, inviting you to settle in and connect with your body and breath. From this deepened awareness, we’ll flow into an ecstatic dance journey—a space for free movement, exploration, presence, play, connection, release, and self expression. Our evening will conclude in a supportive sharing circle, offering space to reflect, connect, and honor our experience together.
Come as you are. All are welcome. We can’t wait to dance with you! 🦌✨
