About this Event
a three-day book festival celebrating stories, poems, and activism that centre radical imagination from Indigenous and intersectional voices in Aotearoa and the Global South. (source: What or where is the ‘Global South’?).
we imagine SOS as a space for collective imagination and resistance — a gathering for writers, artists, and communities to learn/unlearn, dream and build together.
Dates: Friday–Sunday, December 5–7
Location: te aro pā, 115 taranaki street
this pilot project is facilitated by prayash of Other Kitaab Ghar and sasha francis — tangata Tiriti living in Pōneke - whenua o Taranaki Whānui ki te Upoko o te Ika.

• Sumud: Palestinian resistance and solidarity + fundraising / infoshop
Day 2 — Saturday, December 6 (10am–5pm)
• Poetry and spoken word performances
• Zine-making workshops
• Activist and community organisation corner / infoshop
Day 3 — Sunday, December 7 (10am–5pm)
• Matike Mai — Constitutional transformation wānanga
