About this Event
Songs of Our Ancestors is a creative and reflective gathering for seniors, centered on storytelling, culture, and connection — this time through the use of recycled materials.
Participants are invited to bring a few small items from home that they no longer need or were considering throwing away — such as fabric, magazines, containers, or other reusable objects. Together, we will transform these materials into meaningful works of art.
This session is rooted in the belief that nothing is ever truly wasted — not our materials, and not our stories. Through guided art-making, conversation, and reflection, we will explore memory, identity, and the beauty of reclaiming what still holds meaning.
