Grace Community Church is excited to present The Songs of Hope Concert featuring Remedy Drive and special guest Dawson Westfall. This event occurs on Saturday, February 22nd, at 7 PM in the Boone High School Auditorium. It is a free concert aimed at raising awareness, fighting human trafficking, and benefitting The Exodus Road and Wings of Refuge. We hope you will join us as we do what we love to fight what we hate!Remedy Drive Bio:
Remedy Drive is a rock band with roots in Nebraska. For the last ten years, the band has been using their music to shine a light on human trafficking. They have released a trilogy of counter-trafficking-themed albums.
The band's lead singer, David Zach, frequently accompanies the counter-trafficking organization The Exodus Road on their missions. He uses covert gear to gather evidence of trafficking and collaborates with authorities to dismantle the criminal networks responsible for these heinous acts. Thanks to their efforts, more than 2,800 survivors of trafficking have been rescued, and over 1,700 traffickers have been arrested. The Remedy Drive fanbase and community help support these operations by funding them.
Remedy Drive is committed to promoting the restoration and rehabilitation of trafficking survivors by sourcing all their merchandise from organizations specializing in these areas. The band's music centers on the theme that ordinary individuals can play extraordinary roles in the pursuit of freedom and justice.
Remedy Drive's music has been featured on NBC, SpeedTV, and VH1, among others. Their song "Daylight" was featured in the movie The Perfect Summer, while "Hope" was used in a 2009 Winter Olympic commercial. "Stand Up" was featured in the trailer for the Gerard Butler-starring film Chasing Mavericks, and was also played during game days at the Green Bay Packers' stadium.
Dawson Westfall Bio:
Dawson Westfall is a singer-songwriter from Boone, Iowa. He picked up the guitar for the first time during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic but has had a passion for a wide variety of music since childhood. Over the past few years, he has performed in local bands, initially covering songs by his favorite artists before transitioning to writing and performing his own music. In the spring of 2025, he plans to release a solo EP titled "All the While." This album was inspired by the songwriting styles of artists such as Pedro the Lion and Adrianne Lenker.
