Boozhoo kina weya (Greetings to all)!We hope you will join us on May 22nd at the Island Lake Conservation Area’s Outdoor Amphitheater, generously donated by the Credit Valley Conservation, for 'Songs for Water.'
This gathering is a welcoming for the June 15/16th Waterwalk, featuring teachings from Mary Anne Caibaiosai, songs by the Credit River Waterwalkers, and a performance by The Manitou Mkwa Singers - Valarie King with her daughters from the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation.
Engage with 150 children who have been expressing their messages to water, and unite in singing the Nibi Water Song. Together, we deepen our bond with Nibi and commit to water protection and care, inspired by Anishinaabe traditions. Please join our community for this special day as we honour the headwaters.
Donations are welcome but not mandatory. Funds received will support this years Credit River Water Walk.
Stay tuned to creditriverwaterwalk.com for upcoming ways to join the Credit River Water Walkers.
