Come join together in solidarity and support for the people of Gaza, with an evening of sharing songs, poems and stories for a peaceful and just world. This is an open-mic house concert and fundraiser, with all proceeds going with the NZ+AUS crew joining the Global Movement to Gaza flotilla; sailing food and medicine through the blockade.
Many of us have been watching the suffering in Gaza feeling devastated and helpless and we hope our get-together will be a chance to raise some funds for Gazans, alongside building community resilience here in Whaingaroa, through sharing our songs, poems and art with each other and uniting our longing for a more peaceful and safe world for everyone to live in.
Bring your friends, family and a song or poem to share (that aligns with the kaupapa of this event), or just your listening ears! We will have some simple kai and chai available and a warm fire to keep you cosy.
