The story traces the lives of an extraordinary, intertwined generation of artists and leaders as they navigate the seminal moments of the time. The likes of Miriam Makeba, Hugh Masekela, Trevor Huddleston, Arthur Goldreich, Henry Nxumalo, and Desmond Tutu.
As with all of Michael's work, the story offers a fresh human layer to a traumatic period which forged our national culture; our music; our divisions; and ultimately our great heave towards transcending those divides.
SONG FOR SOPHIATOWN is an emotive, personal story of hope for South Africa and the world.
